What’s going on
How am I:
Overall good, we both had birthdays in February to celebrate which was fun as always! YEAH!!
I’ve been doing work stuff that has kept me busy, which is a good thing because I have a job but a bad thing because I AM TIRED. AnyWhoo…life right now is good I have no complaints
On that note here are a few (ha-haa I make me laugh)
I’ve been working out on the Wii and trying to do the stairs at work more often, making some strides toward a healthier me (i’m a work in progress).
I have been on the hunt for a new OB/GYN and I think I have found the right office. But first let me back up a bit to share the first experience with what I thought was the right office. (sigh)
So I’ve been calling around and g-oogling for some GREAT doctors in my area and had narrowed it down to 3 spots. The first one fail miserably by answering the phone already in mid-conversation with someone else and then placing me on hold for about 5 minutes only to come back to tell me ”oh I totally forgot about you-haha” not even apologizing once and being agitated because I was so agitated, needless to say I did not make an appointment there.
On to the next one…I called and set the appointment up no problem at 9am. I was instructed to go to the website and print out the new patient packet which I thought was great, less time I spend in the waiting area doing this. I arrived to my appointment at 8:30 giving myself time and the office time to process my paperwork but was in for a rude awakening.
I get there and the door to the office was locked and I noticed a few other people there as well standing in the hallway just waiting…this struck me funny, so I tapped on the door and this other door flung open, one of the staff stuck her head out and stated
Person: “We are still closed and will not start letting in until 5 mins before 9am”.
My mouth was open and I am sure my face was in disarray from that comment. I proceeded to say…
ME: it’s 8:30 (looking at my watch-less wrist), we are not allowed to wait in the WA-ITING area?? (super dumb look on my face)
she stated simply NO. I’m totally taken aback by this concept…there is a waiting room beyond this door in front of me yet I am not allowed to wait in it, I’m forced to stand in this hallway and wait before being allowed to go in the waiting area to wait. That there was my clue get out of dodge but I didn’t, I was now compelled to wait to see what I was waiting for. Surely the doctors here are just the best if we are not even allowed into the office space until right before the very first appointment. Surely they are on point that they are able to open the door at 8:55 collect my paper work and have me processed and ready by the time my appointment starts at 9am…right???!
I was sadly mistaken by those thoughts.
I get inside and was NOT impressed in the least bit, not only was I not seen by my appointment time but I was surrounded by idiots. I gave my paper work and insurance cards,to behind the desk girl, who I will call special, she looks at my cards and gives me pookiesan’s card back. I was puzzled by this…
ME: Don’t you need both cards to process my visit?
Special: Umm, no we already authorized you on your card.
ME: But I have double coverage (handing his card back)
Special: (looking very confused) Yeah we already confirmed your insurance ma’am we don’t need that one
ME: I’m sorry you don’t seem to understand, I HAVE DOUBLE COVERAGE! You need both insurances to file my visit. Does that make sense?
Special: (huge sigh, very frustrated…calls for help)
“Help” was just as dumb, she did not understand about the “double coverage” concept either and at that point I asked out of frustration
ME: So do you see people with insurance at all?
Dumb&Dumber: yes, Medicaid
ME: Give me my cards back please
D&D: oh are you going to reschedule?
ME: NO!.. not ever.
Which take me to my current appointment, I called, no prior conversations happening while answering the phone, complete understanding of double coverage and the best yet is that I was asked to go the their website and fill out the new patient packet ONLINE…very impressive. I was asked before ending our call did I have any questions…
ME: Yes, if I arrive early am I allowed to sit in your waiting area…?
Pleasant Lady: (laughs) Umm sure that’s why we have it
ME: Just checking…hahaa
I arrived, I signed in and in 3 mins I was called to get copies of my cards and to verify that my info was correct and in about 5 mins I was called to go back for my visit. Met the MD, she is great and a bonus, she is the MD that my RE referes his patients to afterwards. I was very happy to hear that!
So with all of that being said I think I am considering starting our baby quest again….
Stay tuned.

What it do???? I’ve missed you!!!!!
